Problems with Rangerspike
Please don't start flaming right away.
I'm currently a near r5 player, and I enjoy calling rangerspikes. There are a few problems with that, and some things I just keep on losing to/from.
These are: IWAY (impossible to spike), Capture Points (how to split a Forked Arrow Spike?) and King of the Hill (Caller rends, Para Rigors and now you have only 2 spikers left. What should I do instead? Ghostly is protted very well [SB/WoW]).
Constructive criticism plz, not "OOO NOOOB U CANT BEAT IWAY NOOB NOOB".

R-Spike cannot do these things cause it is a gimmick fo rfame farming, not meant to go all the way.

You should have some sort of cracked armor skill if you're doing it right, first of all. The new IWAY has infuse warriors, i think, right? Spike the infusers like this. Spike one infuser with sloth's only, target the other infuser with forked+savage. It's not the best fake out tactic, but it's IWAY, how smart can they be.
There should be no killing with RSpike on capture points, or rarely if that. With a very solid snare and 3 healers, running around with good capping tactics should be an easy win to a coordinated team.
...And rend/rigor should come before spikes, not on spikes, so it should never render the spikers useless damage-wise.

Absolutely clueless, don't listen to this person. RSpike is part of the HA meta which makes people whine and cry about it by default. It's whatever, and plenty of guilds have held halls with RSpike, mostly [GANK] and [TV]. Run whatever in the world you please.

Try new things. the majority of the FOTM Builds that get run in HA are not run because they are good, they are run because they provide instant gratification and work well without the need for a set team of 8 people to practice the build over and over again until the team is good enough to start winning.
I'd suggest experimenting with Assassins, they are very underrated in the HA format in the current meta.

Play a different build, IMO.
Rspike is a gimmick, won't make you a better player, and is probably the most boring build to play in HA.

ranger spike is a very viable build that can be easily countered, as can all builds. Every build has a strength and a weakness, to beat IWAY specifically, make sure the cracked armor is on every warrior spike, dont take the ghost in the begining, otherwise it will kills pets. Obviously avoid pet killing and use your snare and possible fall back as kiting methods. Get in 1 or two spikes and kite in a circle until monks can regen from the pressure if you find you die to quickly, other wise keep the spikes frequent and clean eventually you'll get used to it and find IWAY becomes easy fame farm.

I know that. I can make the paragon or myself use Rigor before the spike, but if, for example, you see all the enchantments go away on your currently holding ghostly, the first thing i'd do is Spirit Bond. And I know I should experiment more, but shouting "Testing new build GLF.... r5+" doesn't have that much effect.

Rspike = HA autopilot.
If you're doing it right, you should have atleast 3 interrupts with a 5 second recharge, and 1-3 dshots. Send your rangers top with 2 Monks and the para (rit bottom snare)
Spike 1 person down to cap top, and then interrupt fest till the end of the game holding the shrine.
Rspike outclasses any build on pretty much every map. But yes, the weakest map would possibly be Cap Points for Rspike. However, it should still win due to the amount of interrupts, snares, and the Rangers natural overpowered survival skill. (75% block stances? Yes please, not broken...)
The real reason why U loose on Cap Points, I'm sorry to bring it on so hard, is because you ARE a bad strategy caller.
Being a caller myself, I know that as the leader of the group, escp on cap points, you can't babysit 8 people during a Cap Points map. You're pretty much relying on everyone being smart enough to activly split-countersplit. Rspike pretty much throws it out the window, due to the fact that the 3 Rangers can split, and beat anything. The 3 Monks can individually sta alive. The Paragon should be able to kill most stuff 1 v 1, or atleast manage to stay alive with DA and FallBack, and the Rit can snare, and has WoW.
Like I said, Rspike is autopilot, there is no excuse for loosing any match on any map, but bad play on your part

Strategy to free fame iway-
(assuming you fight them in underworld, it's not likely to meet them anywhere else)
1. Take ghost and put him as far as possible in the back, leave him there.
2. Have the 4 rangers (or 3 rangers + para if you run that version) block the stairs at the entrance to your base.
3. Have the monks stay behind, but in Channeling range. The wars shouldn't be able to get to them.
4. Don't kill the pets. They should be outside of your ghost's range if you followed step 1.
5. They all rush in and attack your rangers (casters are unreachable). Monks should have +14 from channeling (7 w/r + 7 pets), so if anyone goes below 80% start yelling on vent and kick your monks afterward. If they have trappers just have people attacking them, and even then nothing should die, the only problem will be dust trap.
6. No point to spike, they got too much life and armor. Just kill them, they will die eventually.
7. Patience is the key. This can easily take 10+ minutes. Whataver happens, make sure that NONE of the rangers move. Trouble begins when the body block opens up and they go for your monks (3 monks should hold anyway, but sometimes they have too much luck with dchops).
8. Same strategy works in other maps (and with others builds too), but you might need more blockers, your rit or necro and possibly one monk.
And don't flame him for rspiking, if he is the caller then you can say it's 'legitimate', as caller requires some brain. And btw I hope you don't do those retarded "running spikes" like all those shitty rspike callers, Those NEVER work.

I have a very good memory from FoC spiking back in proph days. HoH map, wipe the team we were facing, 1 minute remaining. Line up at the end of the extremly then thin hallway (holding team knew we were foc so they didnt block hallway like they could have). Count 3-2-1, run. spike ghost. Dump prots on ghost. Cap. Win.
When your spike can reach close to 1000hp, it doesnt have to be clean.

What he said.
But then again, people saying: "HA is srs bsns" and "Stop sucking and U can beat rspike" are in fact the people running rspike. Or atleast kept getting beaten by it, so they stopped HA'ing, laughing at everyone else who gets beaten by it, and mock with them so they can emotionally bury themselves away from the fact that they do got raped by it.
But then again, GW is srs bsns.
mirite?
If HA isn't PvP-worthy enough for you to discuss, Savage (As I recall, U rspiked your R9), then just go back to the other shithole called GvG. Under the illusion that it actually requires skill to be good in GvG, and that top 10 guilds actually win because they are godly players...

i was implying that telling a person who is new to HA should run a build that makes them better, which i think running any build in HA when u start out is good enough because either way u still have to learn the basics no matter what then its your choice from there on once u understand logic of the game. i wont flame u borat for what u not know, but i did play with wanna be with ranger spike a lot but we never played the current rspike meta everyone is upset about, weather that makes a difference or not i didn't get r9 with ranger spike lolz i kno i got it before nightfall was out and nobody even played rspike then

Their not new, they're around r5. Reading is gud.
Once you hit r5, it's about time to get past rspike and the like and play something requires a bit more skill and coordination. You might not get the same fame right away, but in the long run, you'll improve as a player, and when you run with the same people a lot, you'll improve as a team.
Honestly, rspike is just 8 bitch bars rolled together into one build. Even the caller is stupidly easy to play, because since your spike recharges every 5 seconds, all you have to do is keep spiking and shit will die. The fact is, 90% of people in HA suck (myself included), and so if you take the time to play something a bit harder and actually get better, you'll be a step ahead of many people who just play shit gimmicks.
